These are horses we’ve found new homes for over the years. We pride ourselves in the fact that very few of the horses we’ve re-homed have been resold, and usually it has only been due to personal or medical issues. Feel free to click on any links to learn more about these horses and where they are now! |

Sun Chief’s Apache - “Apache” Apache was Andrea’s first horse. She is an incredible trail horse and goes wherever you point her. She also was a wonderful mother and produced two spotted babies out of solid-colored stallions, one being Katsina, pictured below. Apache now resides in Mesa, Arizona. |
Bolder’s Irish Cream - “Chardonnay” Chardonnay, now renamed Sarah, has been perfect for two families following ours. She was a wonderful beginner-safe horse for a husband and wife riding team, and now she is at a home where she is teaching beginner riders about riding and horse ownership. |

Amethyst Moondancer - “Coria” Coria was Andrea’s show and trail mare. However, because of her issues in going out alone, Andrea decided to find a more suitable mount. Coria is now in California where she is being trained to be used for parades, flag presentations, and she is now certified for search and rescue! |
“Dakota” Dakota was Scott’s mother’s safe and sane trail horse. However, she was not comfortable in his gait, so now Dakota is a 15-year-old girl’s best friend. In fact, she even calls him her boyfriend! Dakota is with his girl in Snowflake, Arizona. |
Cruisin With Flair - “Feather” Feather proved to be too much for her rider—she was poorly started under saddle and was difficult to handle. After some proper training and general time in the saddle, she is now with a retired doctor who is using her for endurance and trail riding in Cave Creek, Arizona. |
Apache Whitecloud Katsina - “Katsina” Katsina was Red Hawk’s only offspring. Our plan was to keep her, but financial difficulties forced us to sell her. She is now in a wonderful home in North Phoenix, Arizona. The above photo shows her in the show ring with her proud owner’s wife riding her! She has won several ribbons, including a Western Pleasure Championship, and she takes it all in stride! |
Emily’s Golden Eagle - “Kwaahu” We have known Kwaahu since he was born and know his sire and dam well. He is very special as his dam colicked when he was three weeks old and almost died. He had to hand-fed until his mom got better, and he took it all in stride. The man who bought him from us passed away, but he is now in the capable hands of a woman in Tucson who loves him as much as everyone who knows him does! |
Dude’s Bad Lady - “Lady” This girl was bought by Scott’s mother, but she turned out to have been drugged when they looked at her initially, and she ended up being too much horse for Scott’s mom. However, we believe she was meant to find a new home through us, for she’s now with Siiri of Photography by Siiri, and they are a perfect match! |
Return’s Casual Fan - “Notch” Notch was Scott’s sister’s horse, but after several years of working with him, he just wasn’t fitting the bill. Turns out he is child safe and is completely different with children than he is with adults. He is now in Queen Creek, Arizona with a happy herd of horses. |
“Mischief” Formerly named “Smokey,” this horse belonged to Scott’s sister’s husband’s mother, and she sent him to Scott’s sister for them to try as an extra horse to ride. He wasn’t what they were looking for, so we sold him to a high school girl with whom he instantly bonded. He passed away in 2006 due to renal failure—we know he is sorely missed. |

Coin’s Penny Pincher - “Penny” Penny was a horse that was bought to be a breeding match to Red Hawk when he was a stallion and to be a trail and show mare. Her personality just didn’t fit in with what we wanted. She now resides in Tennessee where she’s used as a broodmare. |
Generator’s Gray Eagle - “Starling” Starling was another mare bought to be a match to Red Hawk when he was a stallion. However, she and Apache (pictured above) didn’t get along. She was sold to a husband and wife who bred her to a chocolate KMSHA stallion, and she produced a chocolate colt. |
“Stetson” Stetson is wonderful with children and is great for beginners, even when he was only four years old. He was Scott’s second horse and was sold when a friend of Andrea’s father decided he wanted him. He now resides in North Phoenix, Arizona. |

Romeo of Bushwood Ranch - “Romeo” Romeo was originally bought as a child’s horse, but that particular child was a bit too timid for Romeo. He is now in a home where he will be used for trail riding and endurance. We’re very happy he’s gone to such a loving home! |
Morning Son’s Flight - “Sonny” Sonny is as beginner safe as they come. We worked with First Draft Farms to find him a home where he will be well loved and appreciate for his beginner safe qualities. He went to a home with a woman who plans for him to be her forever horse. |
Tovis Tess - “Tessa” Tessa came to us from CO when a friend had to downsize her herd. She didn’t work out for Andrea, so she ended up being sold to her original owner’s daughter-in-law in CA. We’re so happy Tessa has gone to her as she was devastated when her owner had to sell her. It seems she was meant to be back with her family! |
Canary Diamond - “Birdie” This pretty lady needed to be sold due to downsizing. She has found a home with a family who was looking for another horse for trail riding. She will probably even be shown! We know she will be well loved and in a happy home! |
The Boys of Stagecoach Trails Guest Ranch
We’ve found a new home for many gaited geldings at this wonderful guest ranch in Yucca, Arizona! |
Prides Star Struck - “Indiana Jones” We sold this fellow to a woman who looked at another horse we had that didn’t suit her needs. We didn’t even have to put this guy on the market—they were a perfect match! Formerly known as “Rusty,” Indy was in a home where he was just too much horse for his owner. Now he’s with someone who doesn’t mind his spunkiness and even uses it—Indy is very happy as an endurance and trail horse! |
“Diamond” and “Jade” These two beautiful mares, formerly “Robin” and “Black Opal,” were sold to a woman in California who originally contacted me about Jade looking for an easy-going, safe horse. She wanted a second horse for her husband, and as I had ridden with Diamond on a trail ride before, I suggested her as a match. It turns out that Diamond and Jade were made to be together—there was no squealing or animosity between them when they first met, and they have taken to their new owners extremely well. Both girls are enjoyed by their new owners, their daughter, and their grandkids. Diamond and Jade are now in a wonderful, happy home for the rest of their lives! Diamond came from our friends at M&M Stables—look for their ads for horses for sale online on Equinehits.com and Dreamhorse.com! |

Red Tomahawk - “Tommy” Tommy is a wonderfully safe horse for an advanced beginner rider. We worked with First Draft Farms and found him a home with a mural artist in Tucson, Arizona. Her work will include portraits of Tommy, and she plans to incorporate him into her work in general. Check out her website: csimpsonmuralsanddesign.com |
